Tiny Hearts of America was founded by DaMitchell D. Moore out of a deep commitment to improving the lives of children and strengthening communities across the United States. After witnessing the growing challenges facing children and families—including food insecurity, limited access to educational resources, mental health concerns, and unsafe environments—the organization was established to bring hope, compassion, and practical support to those who need it most.
Headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, Tiny Hearts of America was created with the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy, safe, supported, and empowered. Guided by the motto, “Every Child Counts, Every Heart Matters,” the organization focuses on building partnerships with community members, businesses, volunteers, schools, and other nonprofits to create lasting change.
Since its founding, Tiny Hearts of America has developed several signature initiatives, including the Tiny Tummies Program, which helps fight childhood hunger through nutritious meals and food distributions; the Healing Hearts Program, which promotes emotional wellness and mental health support; the Bright Future Initiative, which provides educational resources and opportunities for children to succeed; and the Safe Haven Initiative, which works to create safer environments where children can thrive.
Although still in its early stages of growth, Tiny Hearts of America continues to recruit volunteers, build community partnerships, seek grants and sponsorships, and expand its outreach to serve more children and families. The organization remains dedicated to creating brighter futures through compassion, service, and community collaboration, with the vision of reaching children in communities throughout America.
